Conall's Public House is the East Village's home for a proper pint, honest food, and the kind of warm Irish welcome that turns first-timers into regulars. This is what an authentic Irish pub is meant to feel like.
Who We Are
To pour the best pint in the East Village and back it with food and hospitality that feel like home. Every guest who walks through our door is treated like family, because that is how a real Irish public house has always worked.
To be the neighbourhood's living room — the first place you think of for a quiet pint, a long table with friends, the big match on the screens, or a night that runs late. A genuine Irish pub in the heart of Manhattan, not a theme of one.
Everything here traces back to Ireland: the Guinness poured to perfection, the made-from-scratch fare, the music, and the craic. We carry the traditions of the old country and serve them with pride on 1st Avenue.
The Story of Conall's
Conall's was founded by Rory Galligan, who grew up in Ireland where the local pub is the beating heart of the community — the place people gather to celebrate, mourn, argue, sing, and belong. That feeling never left him.
Over the years Rory built and ran a number of successful bars. He learned every side of the business, from the cellar to the floor, and earned a reputation for rooms that people genuinely love to spend their nights in.
With all those bars to his name, Rory wanted one that spoke to his Irish roots — a true public house built on authentic Irish hospitality, not a watered-down version of it. Real Guinness, real food, real welcome. No shortcuts.
In July 2026, that pub opened its doors in the East Village as Conall's Public House. A fire always lit, a hundred thousand welcomes, and a corner of Ireland on 1st Avenue. Céad Míle Fáilte.
Why Conall's
Conall's Public House is a true Irish pub in New York City's East Village, just steps from St. Marks. Here is what that means once you are through the door.
We pour Guinness the right way, with the patience a proper pint deserves, and keep a rotating draft list alongside it. It is, we think, the best pint in the East Village.
Our kitchen serves hearty, made-from-scratch Irish dishes and elevated pub favourites built on quality ingredients. Honest food, done well, the way it should be.
Every big match plays on our screens: GAA, rugby, the Premier League and the games that matter, with a cold pint in hand and a crowd that cares about the result.
Two private rooms with their own bars, plus a full-buyout option, make Conall's one of the best private event venues in the East Village, for birthdays, rehearsal dinners, and corporate nights.
A back bar deep in fine Irish whiskey and a list of cocktails made with care, whether you are settling in for the evening or marking an occasion.
Above all, you will be treated like family. This is Irish hospitality the way it was meant to be: generous, genuine, and yours. A hundred thousand welcomes.
There are no strangers here, only friends you have not met yet. Come see us.
